Top start for the first day of the PWA Slalom World Cup! The weather conditions were just fine for the beautiful first rounds of the Airwaves. The 64 competitors raced a complete  elimination ad started another with 8 heats, the 16 girls only one. Hihlights of the day were  the good performances of the young Calédonian Lilou Granier who finishes second on the wire and Mattea Iachino who wins the elimination of the day.

On the men's side, on the first run, the Italian Iachino Matteo did not fail his reputation and dominated all the heats. He won the first heat, leaving Antoine Albeau fourth. Austria's Marco Lang (AUT66) finished second. Pierre Mortefon (F14) completes the podium

On the women's side, the young Calédonienne seed Lilou Granier gave  Delphine Cousin a hard time in the final.  Delphine finishing in front of Lilou by half a meter! Japan's Yuki Sunaga (JPN470) completes the podium on this first run.

On the beach, the spectators were at the rendez vous! With the race commented and broadcasted live on the giant screen, understanding the stakes of the race is a real breeze!

Tomorrow, the skipper briefing is scheduled at 10am, first possible start at 10:30.
