No resting for the competitors who started this 5th day of competition with a foil elimination. Under a blazing sun and a side shore wind , the 80 riders then followed with slalom racing: two for the women, one and a half for the men. There is only one day left to excel: prize-giving will be today at 5pm. On the beach, a crowd was there on the penultimate day of the last leg of the PWA Slalom World Cup.

The windy reputation of Anse-Vata was harmed today in Nouméa with a wind established at 15-20 knots. And it is side/offshore, he race comitte had to set the racecourse quite a distance from the beach, next to "Rocher Cesar".

This morning, in foil, two - "full fleet" races were run. Following his good performances of the day (2 and 3), Nicolas Goyard (FRA485) takes the 2nd place of the provisional classification of the stage. Gonzalo Costa Hoevel (ARG3) retains the lead of the provisional general ranking foil.

For women, the race management sent two eliminations (7 and 8). Delphine Cousin (FRA775) widens the gap with her opponents. Sarah-Quita has been more consistent today  finishing 2nd twice. Everything will be settled today ! These two leaders extended their lead over Marion Mortefon (FRA118) who made the move of day with a 3 and a 4. She made it to the 3rd place in the provisional general.  Lena Erdil (TUR33) who fell today, is tied for points with New Caledonian Lilou Granier (FRA1208), 5th in the provisional ranking of the stage. 3rd place is still challenged.

The elimination of the day (No. 6) among men upset somewhat the established rankings. Pierre Mortefon (F14) is getting dangerously close to the 2nd place (0.6 points difference) with a grat day of racing (3rd).
